THE MEET

DATE - 24th of July 2005
TIME - 3:00 PM
VENUE - Cafe Coffee Day ( J'nagar 7th blk )
OCCASION - FIRST EVER BLOGGERS MEET IN B'LORE :))
ATTENDEES:

SRINI (Stream of Cons.....)- Unconsciousness suits better i guess.. :P
(Irish coffee surely makes him loose his senses! )

KESHAV( Heart Out ) - Even with his Heart "OUT" no one is ready to take it :P
(Is it so!!??)

RAJENDRA ( Smile pleeaase )- Ya ya.. after meeting u, u really have to "TRY HARD" to
Smile.. :P ( You will just laugh.. hehe )

NAREN( SOMEWHERE I BELONG )- Everywhere else i get kicked out.. ;-))

And so it happened... on the date and time specified.. ( Knowing that nothing happens on time these days! )!!

My plans for the sunday were simple.. stay and home and in the evening go and pick my aunt from Devanahalli (40 kms away from b'lore). So I thought I wont be able to make it to the meet... Later during the day, at 2:00pm, Mom said I can go out to the meet and come back and pick my aunt in the evening!! Yippeee.. I would be able to make it to the meet anyways! :)) I started at 2:45... I stay in Mahalakshmi layout, which is around 20-25 kms away from the place of the meet. And it was raining soooo heavily!!! I had to drive that very carefuly and hence slowly..

I reached the CCD at 3:10 or so... Srini and Keshav were already there, happily sipping into their Irish Coffee's ( It contains minute quantity of RUM in it... thats the reason they were happy! ). So.. we finished off with the initial introductions, and then started talking abt all possible things.. Formula-1 (my fav :)), Football, Guitaring, Metal bands, Ghazals... etc etc etc!!! We had so much to talk abt.. still a lot left....

Then came Rajendra.. Strange thing was, I had got a call and went out of the CCD to attend the call as there was a lot of noise inside the place. There i saw a guy trying desperately to get rid of the water from hair, shirt, pant and what not!! I just watched him dance (If u can call it so..) and continued the conversation.. After finishing the talk i go back to table and now there were 3 ppl. The guy i just saw dancing was there along with Srini and Keshav. Then i realised the dancing guy could only be Rajendra!!!! I went there and we both introduced ourselves.. Keshav was busy with his second mug of Irish Coffee... i think the rum in his coffee was too much and really got into him.. hehe...

So after the drinks (oops coffee), Keshav decided to attack me (I was defending F-1).. He started "Dont you think its such a waste to use soo much resources, fossil fuels, time etc to run around a single track for 70 odd times.. going round and round and round... ( err.. his head was actually doing it.. too much rum u see..) ... anyways.. is it all worth it??".
Me knowing the Keshav had enough of the drink for the day decided not to attack back, coz the next attack from keshav could well be physical!! I replied saying "Look.. I totally agree with you that its a royal waste of natural resuorces... but its not without any use at all.. For one thing the way those things(F-1 cars) are designed, the technology... the speed those things acheive, the safety of the cokpit.. the revs the engine runs.. the complexity of the electrical systems.. the compactness.. the aerodynamics.. engineering gets into tyres!!! the amount of controls on the steering wheel.. wheew.. (By now i could see the daazed look on the three faces.. trick had worked.. hehe).. So.. i just follow F-1 because of the technology and not to support wastage of resources.. And as far as F-1 is concerned.. for the companies to actually develop all these super fundu gadgets and electronics... nothing motivates better than a competition which the Formula-1 arena is providing them with. There is lot of money involved and its helping the technology to improve.. Its true its no use developing fast cars as they are not of much use other than racing.. but if they build safety measures for accidents at that speed, imagine how safe you will be in your car at normal speed.. ofcors the car manufacturers who build passenger cars build the race cars as well!!!"

After this reply (Speech one would say..) no one wanted to get the two ( "F" and "1" ) together until we said adios.. I was happy as well.. hehe.. Then the discussion started abt music (Srini had got 4 coupons for jukebox).. what kind of music we like.. I am a mixed bag.. i can listen to anything that is melodious.. and i love METALLICA.. Srini also loves classical music (He just never tells anyone) and more of metal amd rock... Rajendra was the "IndiPOP" guy and Keshav the "Ghazals" guy... Srini went on and dedicated the song "Sweet Child 'O Mine" to the bloggers.. and I chose "Master of Puppets" (Which was too heavy for others liking).. I was also attending few phone calls, at which Srini and Keshav were eying soo enviously ( Drunk ppl... cant help :P). After this the discussion moved on to football and lots of other stuff..

At around 5:45, i took at look at my watch and i couldnt believe the time!! Time flew by so fast i wasnt even aware. i had almost forgotten that i had to get back home and go pick my aunt!! So i said bye bye to the bloggers and started in 15 mins after that.. But . Whoa.. what a meet it was.. too good.. The best part was that it was soo easy to get going.. no probs at all... I would say the FIRST BLOGGERS MEET ROCKED!!!!... We should do this more often with more ppl and the BLOGGERS MEET WILL ALWAYS BE ROCKING! :))))

A day that was....

Hi,
Its been some time since my last post.. its been very hectic at office. Hopefully i can take a breather now!
BTW it was my Birthday yesterday. Quite an eventful day it was. Actually i reached home the previos day only at 11:50!!! just in time to be at home at 12:00!!
Let me first explain why i came back so late. I had some extra work on 19th, so had to miss the office cab at 6:30. I finished with my work at around 8:30 or so.. Now i had to book a city taxi to reach home. I called up this "Spot City Taxi" and asked if they could send a taxi.. the guy at the other end told that there was none at that moment and asked me try again after 10 mins. I decided not to wait and call up "City Safari".. this time he told me that the taxi will be arriving in another 30 mins! I thought job done and started waiting.... 30 mins, 45 mins, 1 hour.. no taxi!!! I had been calling the guy every 15 mins.. everytime he said it will take just 5 more mins! at 10:30, i got very irritated and started shouting at the operator.. he just said the taxi wont come and slammed down the reciever!!!! How insane!!!! Whatever.. There were 2 of my friends from office also waiting.. I called "Spot City Taxi" again. and this time he told me he will send a taxi rite away and it will take 20 mins! Again we waited.. and it was real cold outside.. and we went back into office, we ended up waiting till 11:00 when the taxi arrived!!

I thought i will get wished in the city taxi only at 12:00 ( would have been quite interesting actually ;-D ) .. But at 11:50 i reached home.. then started the flow of phone calls... wow.. i was totally excited.. my friend who is currently in US, also called me up at 12.. Thank you Swacko!!! Thank you to all who wished me!

Birthday started pretty early only.. got ready and went to temple.. started to office and reached office at around 10 in the morning.. The issues started to flow.. i knew the day will be hectic! Amidst all that my team people managed to kick me royally for my birthday ;-).. and then went out for lunch.. got sweets for office people.. Afternoon actually had nothing to do.. so thought will leave office and catch up with few friends atleat.. but as it was a weekday everyone was busy in office.. so decided to stay back in office only.. left office at 7:00 pm and reached home at 8:30... ( Distance from office to home is 28 kms.. and i have a santro but i drove ever so slowly :-D ..) Dad had got a cake to cut!! kewl.... Had fun.. then few good phone calls and then dinner.. I was totally tired and sleepy.. still managed to talk to few friends before sleeping.. Eventually slept off at 11:30 pm...

Good day!! A day that was.... "My Birthday"

View of the road from inside my car!

sunset from office parking lot!

Few more pics.. 2 taken near office parking lot and one on the road in Jayanagar from my car.

No one understands!

The message was "What can you do when u feel so hollow within because you know that no one understands you!!"

The 2 replies!!
1) "Keep to yourself and know yourself better, Learn that nothing is more valuable thatn being content and happy. Stop TRYING to be happy and BE happy!!" :-))

2) "One can infinitely crib that nobody understands you. Its very rare that people really understand somebody, because its only perceptions!! When you feel hollow inside, LOOK inside yourself, rather than looking out to other people" :-))

One will feel hollow if one is untrue to oneself or unclear about oneself. If you are clear about what you are doing and know where you are heading, nothing from the outside can make you hollow on the inside. Its never because of not being understood by others, its rather because of not being understood by themselves!

Thanks a lot for the replies :-))) .. the replies meant a lot to me.. the correct way to think!!!

Things that can be learnt from "DIL CHAHTA HAI"

Hi, i liked this mail fwd, so i thought i will post it on my blog.. DCH is one of my fav movies!! kewl one, it was a change in movies for good!!!

anyways.. this is what can be learnt from that movie!!

*Freaking out and enjoying life doesn't need drugs or cigarettes.
*There are relationships apart from bf/gf, marriage, siblings, friendship that can be very emotional and true. which is beyond the understanding of many people.
*And yeah even though u may be the best of friends there is always a limit which should never be crossed. Then it starts hurting........... :-(
*Improving ur imperfections after you realize it, always take some time
*You always don't need to show or prove your gf/bf how much u love or care about her/him, which can sound very boring and finally u r dumped. ;-)
*Believe in Love , true love will never let you down
*Never be ashamed to go back to your old friends, friends are there to understand your mistakes. :-))
*Do not be afraid of others, always think that others r afraid of
you.(Australian Beggar ) ( HA HA HA )
*Whenever you need your friend , remember that he is just a phone call away...distances can't separate friends
*In the end, we will remember not the words of our enemies, but the silence of our friends
*It's the friends you can call up at 4 A. M. that matter.
*The only unchangeable certainty is that nothing is certain or unchangeable.
*The best kind of friend is the kind you can sit on a porch and swing with - never say a word, and then walk away feeling like it was the best conversation you've ever had.
And last but not the least- do what your heart loves ...karo wahi jo DIL CHAHTA HAI!!! :-)))
