Appreciation

Before I start, Appreciation is not only for some good work. It is basically recognizing the fact that there was some work done by someone is worth telling them that it was good. It can also be a simple "Thank You". Appreciation is something which few times is very hard to see. That would seem a little odd right. One would expect appreciation to be given when a work worth appreciating is done.. However, it seems that its not the case most of the times. There may be several reasons for the same...

One would reason is, you really don't think the work is not worth appreciating. Well, nothing much can be done in this case. The worst thing to be done in this case would be to try and make one realize that appreciation is missed. As long as one feels the need to appreciate, its of no use. Reasons for which the work may not be appreciated are equally many. As a simple example.. in a restaurant, when a waiter serves you well... Few think that its his duty and you would give a tip anyway at the end.. Hmmm.. may be I think differently and tell them "thank you" everytime they serve something or get water.. Even though its their duty, they did something to serve me and that according to me derserved appreciation.

One other reason could be that, your ego comes in the way of appreciation.. (This is not the kind I hope which would stop someone to tell a thanks to a waiter in a hotel :D). Some people wont want to accept that you are doing something which deserves appreciation.... As bad as this seems to be, it can be a source of motivation to achieve great success :)

So, whats the big deal.. nothing.. just do consider good things done to you or something which makes things helpful to you and show a little appreciation.. Sometimes that is the only thing people expect from you.. not even money! I honestly think that the world would be a better place if everyone learn to appreciate things done by others.... No, it wont stop crime, wont bring down poverty or unemployment.. It just makes people feel better and happy :)

What better than to spread a little happiness around!!!

My dear friend,

I think you have been mislead by the lie they call "reality". You have been falsely led to believe that appreciation is an honest way to thank a good dead.

Appreciation is, in fact, outrageous flattery to the point where the victim believes you and starts doing you favors.

Glad to help out.
